Overview:

Zion National Park is a jewel of a park close to Las Vegas. Here the Virgin River carved a 2000 feet deep canyon into the red rock Navajo sandstone of the Colorado Plateau. Zion is an exhilarating park for hiking, and offers the most stunning, epic scenery.

Come with us to explore this amazing park and challenge yourself on the epic walks that make Zion so remarkable.

We hike up iconic Angel’s Landing and scramble on the Via Ferrata to the place where condors (and angels) land. Then we wade through the Narrows to dive deep into the chasm of red rock that the Virgin River carved. Last but not least we trek to the top of Observation Point from a remote access point, avoiding the extreme elevation gain required if hiked from the bottom.

We will customize your trip to fully enjoy and explore this jewel in our National Park system. Choose between guided hiking and photography. Trips can be customized to fitness level and age of children.

Camping in the desert brings us back to nature, the silence, a roaring campfire, and the dark night skies. Your guide will tailor your trip to your needs and desires. We provide the tents, inflatable mattress and camp kitchen. Just bring your sleeping bag. For a small extra fee we can book hotel rooms for you if you want to skip the camping.

Itinerary:

Day 1 - Zion National Park
Climbing into the Colorado Plateau through the Virgin River Gorge we soon reach Saint George. This afternoon we enjoy a warm-up hike to Observation Point accessed via the remote East Rim.

Day 2 - The Narrows
During the last ice age torrents of glacial run off carved an impressive gorge into the red rock canyon walls of Colorado Plateau. Today the Virgin River is a mere trickle from its former glory. However, the relatively low water level allows us to wade upstream through the constriction of the Narrows, basically a water filled slot canyon. We recommend you rent canyoneering boots and depending on water temperature, wet-suit pants or dry-suit pants. Walking sticks are provided. The day will be mind boggling. There is time to enjoy Springdale in the afternoon with shopping, people watching, and relaxing. In the summer you can rent inner tubes and tube down the river through town for a small fee.

Day 3 – Angel’s Landing
Iconic Angel’s Landing cannot be missed. Any serious hiker or adventure traveler will want to tackle this epic hike and climb. The Via Ferrata is very exposed (the last ½ mile, and by park regulation self-guided). We will have lunch at the Grotto as well before we return to Las Vegas.
